West Sherman Oaks Traffic Mitigation Plan

The West Sherman Oaks Traffic Mitigation Plan (the Plan) has been undergoing much community input.  It deals with the morning commute through the west Sherman Oaks hills north of Valley Vista.  At a recent meeting of the Bel Air Beverly Crest Neighborhood Council, BAHA submitted a letter supporting the Plan with the proviso that it would be re-evaluated within a reasonable period of time and the Plan would be modified or eliminated if necessary to remedy any unexpected or unanticipated serious negative impacts.  BAHA wants to support local neighborhoods trying to mitigate unwarranted commuter traffic since our neighborhood has similar problems.  Such traffic results in serious safety concerns and adversely affects livability in the local neighborhood.  BAHA has studied the Plan and believes the Plan, if implemented in accordance with its provisions, should not materially alter (either positively or negatively) the already existing morning traffic through our area.
