Fall Festival, October 26
It’s that time again—time for BAHA’s Fall Festival!

This is a neighborhood activity where all residents of Bel Air Hills are invited, regardless of BAHA membership. For the young or young-at-heart, you are welcome to attend in costume.
As in prior years, the event will be held at Roscomare Circle Park (south end of Roscomare Road) on Sunday, October 26, 2025, from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. Attendees can expect activities for the kids and delicious refreshments for all. The Fall Festival will be a great opportunity to meet and greet new and established neighbors and bring our community together. We hope to see everyone on October 26. So, please mark your calendars and plan to attend on October 26, the Sunday before Halloween.

New STOP signs and “Speed Humps”
Speed humps have been installed in front of Roscomare Road Elementary School. In addition to the new stop signs in front of the school, it is hoped that these speed humps will also help to slow down traffic, especially when our young students are being dropped off and picked up from school.

Roscomare School Traffic
Roscomare Road Elementary School has planned to have two events this month that could create increased traffic and parking around the school. The school community has been reminded not to park in red zones or to block neighbor driveways.
Thursday, October 9, from 4:45-7:00 pm: STEAM Night
Saturday, October 18, from 2:00-7:00 pm: KidChilla.
Fire Safety: ZONE 0
In response to January’s wildfires and the increase in fire risk, California’s Board of Forestry & Fire Protection is developing a new rule for building and structure fire safety called “Zone 0”, which is the first 5 feet around a structure. The draft rule calls for stricter removal of combustible materials, such as vegetation and wooden fencing, within five feet of any structure or building within Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zones, which includes Bel Air Hills.
Canyon Crest School - Transformer Update
BAHA has been in contact with the Architect for Canyon Crest School, regarding the new electrical transformer that was recently installed. In addition to the safety bollards that were put in around the transformer to protect it from traffic in the parking lot; the Architect is in the process of designing decorative screening to hide the transformer. As soon as those design plans are done, the School Architect has advised us that he will share them with BAHA.
